BMW E46 Garage Door Opener Auxiliary Power Harness

All E46 are pre-wired for a Garage Door Opener near the dome light. This connector has dedicated ignition switched power (key switch position 2) from Fuse 26 (5A) and chassis ground, making it an ideal location to splice into for low powered items such as a Dash Cam or Radar Detector.

Straight Version: The straight version is for those who do not have the Garage Door Opener and plugs into the factory connector, providing you with two 12″ loose, slightly larger 0.50mm² wires that are easier for most people to work with. Green is Ignition Switched power from Fuse 26 (5A), Brown is Chassis Ground. This factory connector is typically completely covered in tape when not in use.

Y Adapter Version: The Y Adapter version is for those who do have the Garage Door Opener and plugs in-between the factory connector and the Garage Door Opener while also providing you two 12″ loose 0.35mm² wires. Green is Ignition Switched power from Fuse 26 (5A), Brown is Chassis Ground.

Notes:

 – Never increase the fuse size! If you are looking to power a device that requires more than a 5A fuse than this harness will not work for you.
