Lifeline FiA 8874-2019 Rain Light – Rectangular

Lifeline’s newest 421-100-011 rain light replaces the previous 421-100-005 model and meets the FiA 8874-2019 regulations. Features a replaceable clear protective cover (includes one spare) and three separate circuits ensure that this light will continue to function and meet FiA requirements even if one LED fails. This rectangular light can be mounted either in a horizontal or vertical position, and can be operated either as a static (solid) or flashing (4 Hz, alternating between 100% and 40% output to ensure constant visibility) rain light; including a rain light / brake light combination, all depending on how you wire the rain light into your vehicle.

We offer individual plug and play adapters (ON:SOLID, ON:SOLID; OFF:3RD BRK, ON:FLASHING, ON:FLASHING; OFF:3RD BRK, ON:FLASHING; BRAKE:SOLID, and ON:FLASHING; BRAKE:SOLID; OFF:3RD BRK) that allow you to change the way this rain light will function without having to rewire the light or switch, but by just simply swapping the adapter to a different one. We also offer a Multi-Mode Adapter which offers six different operational modes of this light simply by turning the knob from 1 to 6. These adapters utilize Deutsch DTM 3-pin connectors which are available separately (plug for the chassis harness* and receptacle for the rain light) if you have the ability to crimp these pins yourself, or as pre-assembled pigtails.

Additionally this rain light can be ordered with the Deutsch 3-pin DTM option which will have the DTM size 20 pins crimped onto the loose wires from the rain light and include the 3-pin DTM receptacle, wedgelock and mounting clip (this connector is not pre-assembled as the wires can pass through a much smaller hole than the connector would need, although if you do use a larger hole for the connector to pass through the rain light will still cover and seal over the larger hole). Note: The pigtail from the rain light is shortened with this option.

Pair this option with our Universal Rain Light Wire Harness which provides the 3-pin DTM plug for the chassis harness* with longer lengths of wire to be directly wired into your chassis harness for the easiest install while giving you the ability to utilize our different plug and play adapters to comply with the varying sanctioning bodies rain light rules.

* It is recommended to run a dedicated circuit with it’s own on/off switch rather than wire this into your marker lights as there may be situations where you will need only your marker lights without the rain light also being on, such as a night race.
