BMW E46 European City Light Retrofit Wire Harness Set (LHD)

We had some requests to salvage city light wiring from stock E46 wire harnesses, but since we have only worked on harnesses from North America which do not have this wiring we decided to build this complete BMW E46 European City Light Retrofit Wire Harness Set.

This set includes both light bulb sockets with light bulbs, and a separate wire harness for the right and left headlights.

Wiring Details:

• Left Harness (shorter wires)
  • 0.50 mm² Brown with ring terminal – Chassis Ground, to be attached to chassis ground behind headlight
  • 0.50 mm² Black with pre-crimped pin – to Light Switch X12-45
• Right Harness* (longer wires)
  • 0.50 mm² Brown with ring terminal – Chassis Ground, to be attached to chassis ground behind headlight
  • 0.50 mm² Black with pre-crimped pin – to Light Switch X12-44

Notes:

 – You will need to recode your light switch accordingly for the European City Lights to work.

 * The stock routing of the right harness is behind the dash and through the firewall on the right side. However you could route this wiring through the firewall on the left side and then across the top of the radiator if you prefer.
