BMW E46 Passenger’s Heated Seat Wiring (LHD)

This is the complete, uncut, passenger’s heated seat wiring removed from a LHD E46 chassis harness that was being thinned for a racecar. This wiring can easily be added to another E46 to retrofit a stock heated seat.

This wiring goes from the X279, 25-pin, Yellow connector of the Passenger’s Seat Connector to the X1869, 23-pin, Black/Brown connector of the A169 – Switch Center and to the X490, Comb Splice, Chassis Ground Point – Passenger’s Rocker Panel.

Wiring Details:

• 1.50mm² Green/Yellow – X279-25 to X1869-1
• 0.35mm² White/Blue – X279-23 to X1869-20
• 1.50mm² Brown – X279-24 to X490

Notes:

– On a stock chassis harness this wiring is routed along the rocker panel and behind the dash, but when retrofitting this into a street car with a full interior it is a lot easier to route this wiring under the center console / armrest.

– You do not have to attach this ground wire back to the X490, Comb Splice. You can cut the pin for the comb splice off and use a ring terminal to attach this ground wire to another suitable ground location.
